Benbrook Heritage Fest “Cowboy Roundup”& BBQ Cook-off
City: Benbrook
Join us for the 6th Annual Heritage Fest celebration! This free-admission, family-friendly, fun-filled day includes western-themed games and activities, arts & crafts vendors, great festival food, music and folk dance performances, a Native and Mexican Village, radio-controlled airplane demonstrations by the Fort Worth Thunderbirds, and Sunset Mountain Miniature horse performances. Plus a BBQ cook-off, sponsored by the Benbrook Area Chamber of Commerce.The Kimberly Sutton Band will perform at 3:30 p.m. followed by bluegrass band “Salt Creek” at 5:00 p.m. Also on site, outdoor laser tag, a petting zoo, and mini-train rides throughout the day. Pottery in the Park Festival

Oct 11-12, 2014 - 10am - 5pm. Over 40 artists - pottery, jewelry, textiles, glass art plus more crafts available for sale. Pottery wheel and clay hand-building demonstrations. Hands on demo: Purchase bisque ware and glaze it yourself after which we will Raku fire it while you wait. Tour the facility & talk with the artists. Food trucks. Free admission/parking. Flights of Our Fathers Fly-In
City: Terrell  
The No. 1 British Flying Training School Museum and the City of Terrell is hosting a Fly-In to honor the WWII British pilots who trained there and the American officers and civilian staff who assisted with that training. Starts with a pancake breakfast hosted by the Civil Air Patrol's Black Sheep Squadron @ 7:30am and opening ceremonies at noon will include the Color Guard & dignitaries.
