In the first video below a Chesapeake Energy employee explains the process of drilling a Barnett Shale gas well in an urban setting. The drilling in this video is taking place in Fort Worth. The video explains how the hole is drilled, how deep it goes and the technique that is used to hopefully not allow the migration of bad stuff into the aquifer that sits a 100 feet or so above the gas deposit.

The below video is about the controversy over drilling under Lake Worth in Fort Worth and where the millions of dollars that will be earned are going to be spent. Those who live by Lake Worth and who use the lake want some of the money to be spent to improve the lake and turn it into a high quality park.
