Nancy's Original Fried Pies is located
at Exit 51 on I-35. That is the exit to Davis, Oklahoma and the
northern exit to Turner Falls Park. Nancy has transformed an old convenience store
into a kind of fried pie headquarters. Her big kitchen makes the ingredients for several other stores that now sell them and
she makes enough to feed the hundreds of hungry customers who come off the interstate looking for something a little different.
"It's something different than you would eat anywhere else," Nancy says.
Nancy never figured that an old family recipe would make the kind of impact that it has.
"Everybody has a good fried pie story unless they're a Yankee or something like that," laughs Nancy.
