OUR GARDEN OF ANGEL'S

HOME    TEXAS REGIONS

In the town of Hurst, in the center of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, on an expanse of north Texas prairie, by a road named Trinity Boulevard, sits a memorial most unusual. We'll let the photos tell the story. Along with a few words.

angel4.jpg (58379 bytes) The cross for Amy Robinson. You read about Amy Robinson in the text above.
angel6.jpg (31078 bytes) A view from inside the Garden of Angel's, looking west down Trinity Boulevard across the north Texas prairie. The skyline of downtown Fort Worth can be seen to the left of the cross.

The names on 5 of the crosses here are likely the most well known in the Garden. The victims of a tragedy the entire world heard about.

The caption on this cross says "A KNIFE STILLED YOUR HEART AND BROKE OURS!!!"

One day in 1999, not long after moving to Texas, these Eyes on Texas headed to a park called River Legacy. The route to that park was Trinity Boulevard. At the exit from I-820 to Trinity Boulevard police were seen, with crime scene tape, with a body outlined in the grass, like something from a TV show. After that a makeshift memorial was built on the spot where the body was found. It grew to be quite elaborate. At some point it was scaled back and a small permanent memorial was built. The cross you see here is for that victim, Marty Klozik. His family and friends have added many items.

No commentary is needed for the rest of the photos...

From past experience it is likely that email will be received asking for directions to the Garden of Angel's. If you are coming from Dallas, exit I-30 at Collins/157, go north to Trinity Boulevard, then head west on Trinity Boulevard. The Garden of Angel's will be on your left in a mile or so. If you are coming from the Fort Worth side of the Metroplex, exit east Loop 820 at Trinity Boulevard, head east. The Garden of Angel's will be on your right. If you get as far as Collins/157, you missed it, turn around and try again.

The address is
11271 Mossier Valley Road
Euless, Texas 76040

Below is the plaque at the entry to Our Garden of Angel's...

Our Garden of Angel's

This is the place where Amy Robinson was taken and murdered. She was kidnapped by two co-workers while on her way to work. Because she did not like to be alone, others decided to put their loved ones in the garden with Amy.

The voices of loved ones silenced because of murder are heard in the garden. These proud white crosses speak for each of them.

The Garden of Angel's is not a place of death but a place representing life. Love radiates from these very surroundings filling the night with wonderful happy memories of a time when these voices spoke with laughter and joy.

Our angels never forgotten because love for them never fades and their memories will never die. Along with the memories comes hope for a tomorrow without violence.

Welcome to "Our Garden of Angel's" Where in this serene and peaceful place, if you listen, you can hear echoes of the voices of angels.
