Wilderness Areas of Texas

Deep in the Heart of Downtown Fort Worth there are trees and waterfalls...

Contemplating whether or not they want to venture down into this natural wonder. They decide they are too hungry for such an exhausting undertaking. It is decided to head north of downtown to the rugged, wild, Stockyards zone, where vittles could be had.
[this is the spot where approximately 2 years after the above photo was taken 4 people drowned]

Shirley leads the way along the trail that leads to the outdoor patio eating zone of Joe T. Garcias.

"Is this what we are trying to find"?, Shirley asks. We quickly find a table before we become even more hungry.

Finally some rellenos. Soon hunger is no longer a problem. Now it is time to go to the heart of the Stockyards to find some Longhorns and Saloons.

The sign pretty much warns that you should be on the lookout for Longhorns.

So, it should not have come as a big surprise when Shirley turned around to see a Longhorn behind her. She contemplated getting on one but decided against it.

Ambling along with all the other cows, cowboys and tourists.

After going in the infamous White Elephant Saloon it was decided to go into the less infamous Buffalo Butt Saloon. No Buffalo Butt Beer was consumed.
Today the temporary Texans also went to the world's largest Flea Market at Trader's Village. By the time they made it up to Lake Grapevine and Outdoor World their energy levels were beginning to falter. After taking a shortcut thru the airport they were delivered back to their RV to rest up....
Tomorrow they are going to do Dallas.
