No big deal. Just a suspension
bridge across the Methow River in Eastern Washington, between Winthrop
and the Columbia River. Sure snow melt may have had the river running a
bit high, and maybe the bridge was in a slight state of disrepair, but
are those really reasons to say no when a pair of nephews ask their
uncle if this is too dangerous to try and cross?
Of course the responsible uncle
was ready to perform a rescue should the bridge collapse.
Further and further they go.
A board breaks, Joey says, I'm
outta here, Jason tries to continue on, but in a very rare instance of
their uncle acting responsible, Jason is told to come back, that it is
too dangerous, that we've had enough Nephews in Danger for today.
