The throng of Colby viewers snaked from the back of the store all around the inside perimeter and out the front door where police lines had been set up to control the possible crowd. The police lines were not needed. No one was the slightest unruly. Perhaps the force of 10 or so policeman helped maintain order. People seemed to be waiting very patiently, like the red-shirted woman in this photo, even though Colby was late, explained on the store loudspeaker as having been held up by the inclement weather....it was raining outside. |
And here we see the above red-shirted woman's patience pay off as she is one of the first to get something signed by Colby. |

In the foreground we see some of the bald-headed policemen guarding Colby or the store or the crowd. Or maybe they are just Colby fans. |
This girl is holding onto her hair to try and control her excitement. |

Colby seemed to be spending a lot of time with each group of people. At the rate he was meeting and greeting, while being observed by the Eyes on Texas, it would likely take him a couple days to work through the entire crowd. The Exit sign that directed the throngs out of the store once they finished with their visit with Colby |
